12914964-money-stackVancouver (West Side) Townhomes Outshine Houses and Condos as the average sale price of a townhome knocks on the door of $1M, clocking in at $987,000 in April – up a whopping 21% from a year ago.

Vancouver average house price is now $3,127,000 which is up 17% from a year ago. The $1M mark was reached in May 2005 and in January 2010 houses cracked the $2M mark. Now, only five years later the price has cracked $3M. Is this sustainable??

The average Vancouver condo price is $642,000, up 0.5% from a year ago. Why are condo prices not keeping up? Well, Mayor Gregor has rezoned our beautiful city and there’s a lot of new condo buildings. Condos remain the only affordable City real estate. Read more

House Sales Rock Greater Vancouver’s Real Estate Market

untitledHouse Sales Rock Greater Vancouver’s Real Estate Market as prices rise but the townhome and condo market is not as hot. The average sale price of a Greater Vancouver house actually dropped to $1,398,000 in April, down from $1,401,000 in February. Greater Vancouver townhome prices also leveled off in April at $588,000 and condo prices are equal to January prices at $458,000.Don’t buy into the hype!

In February 2014 Greater Vancouver average house price was $1,367,000, townhomes were $540,000 and condos $453,000. Read more
