Tips for Vancouver Condo Owners with Noisy Neighbours. Sometimes you wil have a noisy condo neighbour. This isn’t necessarily referring to a neighbour who parties. It may be a neighbour who has a dog that barks all the time, or has workout equipment in their condo. Most strata corporations have bylaws that restrict noise but it’s not necessarily an easy problem to resolve. The construction of buildings will contribute to the transference of noise, or not.
As an owner you have the right, from a legal perspective, to quiet enjoyment of your property. It is not always easy to determining what level of noise is reasonable, as it is subjective. Read more

East Vancouver House Prices Rise 27% Over the Last Year! Average sale price is now $1.3M. It cracked $1M in May 2014 and was $725,000 in Jan 2010, so has nearly doubled in five years. This is not normal.
East Vancouver townhomes average sale price is $608,000 – the same as a year ago and up from $462,000 in Jan 2010 – presenting much better value for real estate buyers.

August saw sales 27% above the 10-year average for the month but the number of sales peaked in June and were lower in July and August – fairly typical summer pattern. Sales topped May 2010’s record and is the highest since June 2006. Condo sales are up 33% from a year ago, house sales are up 12% and townhome sales have risen 22%. Read more
